Using Corsair braided modular cables with Silverstone Strider 600W

Hi Guys

I was using a Corsair TX650M however i just moved into a new case and it wouldnt fit so i bought a Silverstone Strider 600W.

Im wondering if my pre-existing Corsair Braided PSU modular cables are compatible with this new PSU? As they seem to say not to use non-PSU branded cables with your PSU, but all the connectors appear to be the same so i cant see how it would matter.

Anyone have any experience using corsair cables with a Silverstone PSU??

Cheers

Do NOT use the cable until you confirm the pinouts are EXACTLY the same.

Even though the plug fits, the wiring may not match. I burnt out a DVD player using Corsair cables on an OCZ PSU before since a +12v was switched with a GND.
Once again...

thanks for that! yeh i just did some reading and it seems that there isnt a standard for psu cable/pin layouts - which is ******* ridiculous tbh.

you could always force the power supply on without connecting it to anything and measure the pins with a multimeter. just have to compare it to what the connectors are supposed to output.
