Seasonic X-650 silent mode doubts.

Hi All.

If I cant hear a gt220 card or a 120mm nexus silent rear fan, will I hear the Seasonic X-650 silent mode on idle? Need some reassurance, the 16dBA doesn't do it for me.

Seasonic X-650 review @SPCR

Silent PC Review (SPCR) are fanatics when it comes to noise, or lack thereof. They really liked this PSU. Note that the noise level will rise as power draw rises, so if you fully load it the built-in fan will spin up more and be noisier than 16dBA.

Speaking of 16dBA, you would likely only be able to hear that in an anechoic chamber.

And down the rabbit hole you go... This is what happens to everyone who take the "quiet" journey. There is always something that is the most noisy.

Still, much better I seriously don't know how I put up with the previous noise cvonstantly going on idle. I wonder though, the fan doesn't kick in on hybrid & that makes the unit warmer obviously. Maybe even shortening it's life in the long run?
