It is not the amount of storage, it is the ability to remove storage. My phone will not boot, will not charge, is completely dead. I drop my phone, shatter the screen.
I take my phone into sprint. With no removable SD, I just handed them all my accounts, all my emails, all my passwords, confidential company documents, pictures, and phone contacts, calendar and the other 1001 documents I don't think I want to share with other people. With a removable sd card, I simply remove the sd card, take all of that information with me and not worry about someone in the repair shop telling a friend that he knows where I live and when I go on vacation. Or worst, If a group of people found out that some of my clients are going to go on vacation and they robbed them, it would destroy my company.
Removable SD card is simply better privacy. The way phone companies currently encrypt their phones allow the company to decrypt the phone (apple, samsung, htc, nokia, any good hacker, all of them can). If you encrypt your SD card using a 3rd party software, your personal information is protected from all attacks.
Having the memory I can not remove is a privacy and security risk and is unacceptable.

HTC shot themsleves in the face, I am just telling everyone what happened. I think it is funny that you go to I must be paid because I offer valid points. Any person can wonder into a store that has a working model of the htc one, they can feel the edge of the device, they can see the sharp edge.
But you are correc, it is solely my opinion. And guess what I share my opinion. If htc decided not to shaft it customers, I would have a different opinion.
PS. Samsung is no angel. Still waiting for 50% of the features they promised for the s4, like knoxs, health options, and and the dozen other features. And their random shutdown and will not reboot until plugged in is annoying.
