Beginner's Case Modding

Thread Starter
I've been mulling it over and I've decided that I want to dive into the world of case modding. The problem is, I don't exactly know where to start. I want to add a floor above my power supply, as well as a wall w/fan cutouts seperating the main components from the bays/hdd trays. I've also been thinking of playing around with cutting out some designs in a case / acrylic, but I'd like to get some experience under my belt before I do any of that. I know I'm going to have to work with a lot of acrylic to accomplish all this, that's fine, I just want to get some good resources on all this subject matter before I dive in too deep without knowing exactly what I'm doing. So, are there any good guides out there? After looking around for about two hours last night I found a few simple guides, but none of them were quite as in-depth as I would like them to be. Just looking for some general guides and any advice on starting up.

For those curious, I'm not going to be touching my Sig rig just yet, I'll be purchasing a new case (maybe a C70? Not sold on any particular case yet) to do all this work on, and probably use some old parts for the computer / water cooling.

I'd start with acrylic first, better to ruin something that cost a few dollars than something that cost a few hundred dollars.
