Evening folk,

So my current monitor configuration is a main U3011 paired with two flanking 2007FPs (4960x1600), as it stands I'm running two from my 560Ti and one from the onboard HD2500 (2 monitor limit on card). I experience a few weird bugs running like this, some games don't like to load, my media player sometimes crashes to desktop and I find myself disabling the onboard graphics (and with it one of the monitors) quite often. Linux, I just end up running with 2 monitors.

My gaming needs are minimal, bits of CS:GO (played at 1024x768) and Civilization V (at 2560x1600). I do occasionally run more intensive games, but only on the main monitor - and not with a need to max out every setting. I would like a bit more power than I have at the moment. I never game multi-monitor.

I want to prepare for eventually adding another 3 monitors at 1600x900 / 20" to the set-up, while at the same time only utilising dedicated cards. I also want to stick with Nvidia, and preferably Asus branded. Cost isn't a major factor, but obviously the cheaper the better.

Do I pull the plug on 2 of the cheapest 3 monitor capable 7-series cards (750/760)? Is SLI still limited to using monitors on the primary card?

  • 6 monitor support
  • Mid-range gaming at 2560x1600
  • "Smooth Video Project" support at 2560x1600 (560Ti does this)
  • Better than integrated graphics for Photoshop
