Hell, Nvidia could have released the 780 with a 500Mhz core and it would have been slaughtered by the r9 290x in benchmarks. People of the aforementioned nature would have proclaimed r9 290x king for all eternity but does that tell us anything about oc'ing headroom? The only thing that concerns me is the overclocking potential and it seems unlikely the r9 290x will be capable of matching an oc'ed Titan or 780 on air or water. I guess the 780 ti will cater to the masses whom are incapable of achieving higher overclocks themselves.
rep+ I lol'd
Nvidia will be shooting themselves in a foot if they release this card. Why would anyone in their right mind buy this card over the 780? performance gap will be WAY too small. Now if they offer a 6GB version, then yes, it would be worth it. But why in the hell would anyone then buy the Titan? And if they lower the price of the Titan, then why in the hell would anyone buy the 780 Ti
