Go look at the 290x 4k reviews the 7970 ghz is only like 5 fps behind in most games.

IMO for ITX

7950 at 1080p

7990 at 1440p and higher or 120 hz

edit: guess the price on those 7990s jumped back up a bit frown.gif

i wonder why as well price of 7970 is even higher than 280x mad.gif

My current setup is an Asus 144 hz for FPS and an X-Star 1440p IPS for everything else. Also, I've heard bad things about coil whine with the 7990 and personally, I'd love to get the new r9's. Whether that's 280x, 290, or 290x, I'm unsure.

lol, then why did you even ask about a gtx 770? sounds like you are more torn between which new amd card to get more than anything else. good luck whichever one you end up with.

I was simply stating that if I was going to go AMD, then I'm going to go the r9 route. Like I said earlier, the heat of the new cards concerned me and I wasn't sure whether a 770 would better suit my needs.
