Phanteks PH-TC14PE Weight a problem?

Thread Starter
According to specs this thing weighs almost 3lbs.

Now I want to get one but one thing still alludes me... HOW DOES THIS THING NOT SNAP MOTHERBOARDS IN HALF?!

I mean seriously, 3 pounds?

My True 120 Xtreme weighs almost 1 pound and I thought it was pushing it.

If I get one of these things, will I have to prop it up with zip ties or something?

You have absolutely nothing to worry about unless you transport your pc often. Frequent car rides might cause strain on the motherboard.

But you would be surprised at how strong a motherboard actually is.

Think about how many are on motherboards out there. Have you ever seen a motherboard broke because of the heatsink?

I haven't.

Only heard of a couple being broken and that was because they were dropped 3 feet or some other silly accident.
