Hey, I'm looking for some mouse/mousemat suggestions. Thanks!

1. What's your grip style? Palm.

2. What's your sensitivity? 3200 but I don't mind going down in sensitivity.

3. What's your maximum budget? £60

4. Do you want additional buttons? I don't see a need for them.

5. What games do you play? osu! and I want to maybe get in to SC2.

6. Do you mind about prediction? Prefer not to have it.

7. Hard or cloth? Cloth.

8. Rough or smooth? Smooth.

9. Which size approximately? Want to cover the mouse only really.

10. What's your maximum budget? £30

I used to play Starcraft for a pretty long time, and IMHO, claw grip/ fingertip could be best for RTS games, the reason is u need to move ur cursor around the monitor, in contrast to FPS games, where most movements are horizontal. I would suggest a small mouse, like Steelseries Kinzu (should be v2 cuz u dont want any kind of angle snapping). QcK Heavy can work perfectly and really comfortable, easily the most comfortable mouse pad I ever used. thumb.gif

When I was a noob, I dropped $25+ on a Puretrak Talent mouse pad. It has served me well for years now, but if I could go back in time, then I would probably just get a <$10 SS Qck and be done with it.

For a palm mouse, maybe you'd like the Zowie Evo EC1, EC2, or CL or a Deathadder.

Thanks for the suggestion too. smile.gif In your opinion, what advantages would the Zowie Evo EC1/2 have over the Kinzu v2? I noticed there is a significant price difference. tongue.gif

I don't know about "advantages", but I can list some differences and similarities between the mice. The Kinzu v2's sensor shows negative accel when you move it too fast. The Evo ECs won't. The Kinzu v2 will probably stop tracking altogether at a lower speed than the Evo ECs, but that's not really a problem since it is unlikely that you will even reach the Kinzu v2's malfunction speed while playing, though it should be easy to reach when you deliberately try to.

The Kinzu's shape is also very different from the Evo EC's. The Zowies copy the lovely intellimouse explorer 3.0 palm shape. Meanwhile, the Kinzu v2 is ambidextrous, very small, and very low. You probably won't be able to palm it.

I wouldn't pay the price for an Evo EC, if you are wondering.

Kinzu v2's sensor is inferior to Zowie Evo, i think. However, I believe this kind of weakness will not easily to notice in the one-colored pad like normal QcK (should never ever buy a multi colored pad for Kinzu v2). In addition, I don't know how long have u been with Starcraft, but IMHO, palm grip could hinder your game play a bit biggrin.gif Try small mouse, fingertip or claw grip maybe. Believe me, I have played Starcraft since Slayers_Boxer was still the final boss in SCBW biggrin.gif

PS: If somehow you choose the Kinzu , buy the pro edition, the normal edition with TTC switches is not far from double click at all mad.gif
