Msi 280x Gaming, slightest OC results in freeze - gray screen with black stripes.

Hi !
I just upgraded from a 560ti to a MSI 280x Gaming. At near stock clocks (1050/1600) everything is fine but if I overclock it just a bit even 25 mhz it freezes - gray screen with black stripes, no artifacts or anything just a complete lock up. Not sure if its something with the beta drivers or just the oc limit of the card. I'm using +20% power limit but sadly it doesn't help. Gpu under load has around 70-72*C. Seems its also voltage unlocked so maybe I could give it some juice to push it more. Any tips guys smile.gif?

Spec:
I5 2500k @ 4.5 1.3v
Asus P8Z68-V Pro
Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB 1600 XMP
MSI 280x Gaming
Corsair TX 750W
Fractal Design Define R4
Catalyst 13.11 beta 3
Win 7 64 bit

It's either drivers, the overclocking software or your card just is a terrible clocker. I have had several AMD cards before that refuse to overclock, for example I had 6 different 5870's and neither of them would overclock... No kidding!
But hope you get it to OC eventually! You could also try the card in a friends computer and see if the problem persists.

Ah oh well I will try a bit more but I will probably just return it to the shop then and wait for 290 with aftermarket coolers, hope they can come soon enough :/ Thanks anyway !
