Mercury S3/S5 questions

Thread Starter
Hi, I'm looking to get a couple of S5's and a S3 but had a couple questions. I tried emailing last week and got a reply Monday, responded that night but I haven't heard back since (late Friday now). Do they only reply to emails Monday? Or am I not supposed to ask questions via email only here? In any case if anyone could help that would be much appreciated.

1) On the S5 there is a picture of a Solid Drop-In mount on the cases photo's.

and an empty one:

There is no option to select a Solid chassis top mounts, but there is an option for "None". Does that mean you can't get the Solid top bundled with the case or is the None option the solid top?

2) On the S3 I'm interested in this measurement to see if a 140mm rad will fit here or if not then just clarification on where the fan mount is.

(that's from the S5)

The photo's on the website show the fan mounting is up against the flex bay's, so it might not be possible.

However a users photo's show the fan mounting on bottom is in a different location, that is further back.

Thanks for any help

Hello and welcome to OCN!

We are very sorry that your emails went unanswered.

1. There is no solid top chassis section available, only the solid drop-in mount. When selecting "none" it means that there will be no drop-in mount included. This is typically only selected when used with the full window top cover.

2. I should know this off hand but I don't tongue.gif I am fairly certain it will fit but I will follow up on this tomorrow.

No worries, just wasn't sure if I was doing something wrong.

The solid drop-in mount would be good, but I can't see it in the drop down menu either.

Much appreciated. Judging from the build log photo it definitely will, only needs 31mm from the fan hole to put the inlet/outlet that side.

Thanks.

Hmm I see it for the S3 but not the S5?? Anyways it's been added, and I will follow up tomorrow with the 140.1 rad fitment.

Okay so,

These are the images from the S5, so I am just using them for reference.

This dimension is 50mm in the S3

This dimension is 193mm in the S3
