see idle i'm at 49c so i don't know why mine is hotter, and i can't get past 450/900 anything higher and when i test it for artifacts, they are there. what are you using to test for artifacts?

I just use the nvidia control pannel to overclock it and they wont let you past certain points because it fails tests but I play bf2142 for like 3 hours and get no artificats. Also do you have alot of airflow in the case if the case is cooler your video card is most likley gonna be cooler.

ohh yeah i got a lot of air flow, i got one 120mm fan in the front ( high speed one) two 80mm in the back, one 80mm in the side and one 80mm on the top. also i'm upgrading to a new case that will have one 120mm in the front and one 120mm in the back. that should create a good flow.

Try reseating the heatsink with as5 see if it makes it cooler, I havent dont anything to mine though just overclocked it, but if it really doesnt let you overclock past the 900 point get the v700 and volt mod it get you some good speeds with the card.
