I7 3770K temps - Page 2

Im at 59C max in P95 ... but never tried IBT, to be honest. P95 ran for 6hrs in all ... and no crashes in BF so far. Should be fine.

Running 3770K, delidded with CLU Die and AS5 IHS on a custom Loop with AMS140 and AMS240 Rads with D5 Pump. Voltage is set to 1.176V via Offset on full load.

Before that i had an H100 which died on me and upgraded to a H100i ... the temps were insane before delid and even with slight overclocks i reached 75C in P95.

Could try to reach higher but for now im happy smile.gif ... tried 5GHz once, but failed on VCore. 4,8GHz seems to be only stable at 1.26V roughly redface.gif

BTT: Altough INTEL says 67.2C should be max of chip, if im correct, if not plz correct wink.gif ... i heard of People staying just under 80C will be enough.
Long time degrading should set in way past after youve already upgraded.
For me, im not happy with the temps. My Goal is to stay under 70C at full load. Its a choice to make smile.gif

I was worried too. Trust me. ITS EASY STUFF! ... im an engineer tongue.gif

Vice method worked well for me. Bought some cheepo vice and CLU and delidded one afternoon. A few good whacks and the PCB should seperate from the IHS.
BUT ... it can go wrong. Just watch a short howto on YouTube and prepare yourself. Calm down and think of every step twice.

I7 3770K

Actually 105C is the temp when CPU starts throttling. I would NEVER consider to go to that temp.

T_Case is 67.4C. So in my eyes 75C is enough to live with rolleyes.gif

Yes it is supposed to be start throttling at max temps. It wouldn't be called max if it didn't. However I wouldn't run an oc'd IVB at 90°C+ during stress testing.

Tcase is not referring to max core temp if you guys wondering. TJmax (105C for 3770k) is max core temp when the CPU start throttling. If Vcore within limit (max 1.45V on air/h20), then you don't need to worry about temp. It will throttling when core temp reaches TJmax. Of course having core temp always below TJmax is a good idea. Throttling can ruin performance. Basically, if Vcore within limit (max 1.45V) & core temp also within limit (below TJmax), then your CPU is running within Intel specification.
