In the market for a Ultrabook

What is your maximum budget? $1,000 USD (Willing to add a few $$ if its worth it.)

What country are you in? NV/CA, USA

What will be the uses of this laptop? Movies, school, music, gaming, download, video chat.

Do you have brand loyalty or care which brands we select for you? I'm open to any brands, but prefer Asus or Samsung.

What screen size do you require? Around 15" +/- (Something not too big nor small).

What screen resolution do you require? Have to be Full HD 1080p.

Are you looking to buy NEW or would refurbished/recertified/used be okay? Highly prefer New.

How long should the battery last? (Under optimal conditions, no movies/games/heavy internet) 4 hours min. The higher the better.

What games would you like to play with your laptop? And on what settings? CS:S, LoL, Dota 2, Sims 3/4, BF3/4, Payday 2, and a many more. Prefer high, but I can do medium settings.

What operating system do you need? (if any) Windows 7 or 8 x64 bit.

Is there a certain style of laptop you want? (aluminum, black, gaming, etc.) Prefer a stylish modern look. Metal/Alum would be great. Trying to avoid cheap plastic, less durable material. So durably is a plus.

How much hard drive space do you need? 500GB+. SSD is a huge plus!

Do you need any special hardware? (blue ray, webcam, specialty ports, etc.) SSD compatible, 3.5mm, USB 3.0, HDMI, Webcam (Higher res the better). Blu-ray is a plus, but not required.

Is there anything else we need to know? The usage will be for general usage mainly, but want to use it for school and other stuff also, but gaming not as much, but I want to be able to play some of my games also.

Durable and reliable is a huuuuge plus. Since I would like it to last as long as possible.

If you guys need any other details, feel free to ask!

Thanks! thumb.gif

Edit: For games, as long as it can run CS:S, LoL, Sims 3/4 and Payday 2, I will be more then happy!

Its going to be hard to find an Ultrabook around $1000 that can play the games you listed. Most Ultrabook uses the iGPU in the Intel CPU since theres a certain battery life to get the "Ultrabook" label.

Something this but its $1300:

Asus Zenbook

I just notice that is a lot of them. But as long as it can play CS:S, LoL, Payday 2 and Sims 3/4 I will be fine!

You mention you want something stylish right? biggrin.gif This might fit the bill:

Asus Zenbook Prime

The HD4000 should handle CS:S, LoL, Payday 2 and Sims 3/4 on Med/High settings on 720p possibly on 1080p with playable FPS.

Thank you for your suggestions! Will add those to the list! Open for more suggestions if anyone have any!
