Good 5.1 speakers for around $350?

Im looking for a upgrade of my very basic Logitech x-530 5.1 speakers.

This is for the lot. Gaming, movies and music. I absolutely love listening to just about all types of music more than anything else though.

I have around $350 to spend, the less the better.

Must be 5.1 simply because I love it.

Would much prefer a out of the box setup as i am clueless on how to setup a system with parts that i could separately buy speakers, sup etc...

This is to be used on my computer. I have the Asus Xonar DX sound card

Link to the sound card: http://www.austin.net.au/asus-xonar-dx-pcie-soundcard-71-channel-ds3d.html

I have had a look around other old threads ( Like 3+ years old.. ) and people just go on and on about how horrible the sound quality of Logitech Z-5500 and Z906 can be and how you can get so much better at even better prices but don't actually go into saying what speakers would be best.

Don't even suggest Logitech. Too many people say that you can get much better at a much better price, anyone know what my best choices are that are better than the Logitech Z-5500?

Please note I live in Western Australia and one of the best places i can buy from is ebay. anything from America costs $50-$150 in postage!

Speaker section!

The only way to get a decent 5.1 setup is to look for A/V receiver and passive speakers. Preferably used because as you can read from the sticky, surround is not cheap.
All the "out-of-the-box" surround sets are Logitech-quality. You can get much better quality when you buy the speakers/etc. separately.

Most likely the 350$ won't be even nearly enough for a decent 5.1 setup.

I've had the chance to listen to the X-530 and all I can say is that they were horrendous. And they died in 2 years from what I heard.

I paid 500$ for my 2.0 set, used to have 4.1 junk (Logitech/Creative).
And if I want surround sound (games), I just use headphones with Dolby Headphones.
