similar new graphic cards as Radeon HD 5850 1GB? "which one to buy?"

Thread Starter
Hello everyone! Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

2 days ago my Radeon HD 5850 1GB has died so I can't even get into BIOS of my PC. After I start my PC the fan goes crazy and it beeps too, so yeah....

Anyway. I'm about to buy a new graphic card, but I'm searching for a graphic card that performs similar as Radeon HD 5850 1GB.
But the problem is that I'm really bad at choosing the right graphic card because of lack of knowledge. smile.gif
I want to buy a new graphic card from this site:
http://www.sestavi.si/index.php/items/display/169/173/graficne-kartice
"1€ = 1.38USD"

I chose this site because it's the cheapest around and the closest to my home and I'm not planing to buy it on e-bay just yet.

Any fast suggestions guys?
Thank you all for help in advance!

Greetings BoskoSLO

If you want a card to directly replace the 5850, I'd suggest a 650ti

http://www.sestavi.si/index.php/item/display/22735/17375_graficne-kartice_msi_graficna-kartica-msi-geforce-gtx-650-ti-oc-1gb-gddr5-n650ti-1gd5-oc.jpeg

That's no upgrade really. Just a 1 for 1 replacement.

650ti Boost edition would be a great option if you can find one.

EDIT: Nevermind I found one: http://www.sestavi.si/index.php/item/display/24346/19981_graficne-kartice_evga_graficna-kartica-pci-e-3-0-evga-geforce-gtx-650-ti-boost--retail--1024mb.jpeg

OP go for a Sapphire HD 7850 2GB

http://www.sestavi.si/index.php/item/display/17892/15980_graficne-kartice_sapphire_graficna-kartica-pci-e-3-0-sapphire-radeon-hd-7850--lite-retail--2048mb.jpeg

significantly faster than the HD 5850. also do not buy a 1GB card at all. the HD 7850 is a very good GPU. stock performance on par with GTX 650 Ti boost. but with stock clocks of 860 mhz HD 7850 has much more OC headroom and perf scaling.

HD 7850 overclocks to 1100 - 1150 mhz with voltage tweaking and matches HD 7870 / GTX 580. the dual x cooler is one of the best. thumb.gif
