Looks like everything is fixed except when playing BF3 each gpu is running like 52-65% never anything more. That still leaves me @ 80+ FPS but still why isn't it hitting 99%?

tried BF3 with the cars at stock? on my 7970/7950 stock i get 91/98%. this was 1080 Ultra and 4MSAA. only 2 cores hit 90% the rest were 60 - 70%. hmmm. i was using 13.4, though. only recently moved to 13.11 for BF4 Beta. usage on that was very similar to BF3.

my fps at those settings did dip around 70 fps in BF3 MP 64.

edit: might as well ask . . . you have HT on, right?

turn up powertune/power limit and see if the cards stay closer to 99%.

Are you using stock fan profile? What kinda temps with that voltage pegged out? Vrm temps?
I had the same issues with BF3 and usage. And also the directx error. I reset msi afterburner settings and directx never happened again. At 1440p Ultra settings did I really need to overclock the graphics in crossfire? No.

it never passes 65c on either GPU. The XFX DD cooling on the 280x is amazing and quiet. Huge difference from my 6970s that sounded like jet engines. I use a adaptive fan profile where if gpu hits 60c fan speed ramps up to 100%. Ill probably just reset the OC. You're right for gaming 2 stock
7970s will def keep me above 60 fps ultra in bf4 or any game for that matter.
