The map that BF4 had in beta i dont think was strong enough to hinder the CPU. Just because 4770K or 4960X is the fastest you can get does not mean they are good enough for 120 fps. That like saying Titan is fastest GPU so 4K is no problem.

You're talking about a BETA. They are NOT going to release a game that bottlenecks the fastest GPUs out there when using the fastest IPC chip out there... it just won't happen. Scaling was crap in the beta, this is common knowledge. Retail will fix those issues, or it will be their demise.

I hope you are right. 3770K was the fastest CPU for BF3 and did not feed my 7970 full.

My 4770k did just fine with BF3, also. With what you're saying. Apparently it is impossible to achieve 120fps which I did. I do agree that you can't overcome poor optimizations though (60% GPU usage), however, a 3770k or 4770k does absolutely fine at achieving higher frame rates, especially with a 4.6Ghz overclock. And of course Titan isn't fine for 4k. It can't even max out Crysis 3 at 1080P. However, in my testing I was able to achieve 120fps with my set up. I mostly stayed around 130-140 with some occasional dips to 110 depending on what was going on and if my GPUs were fully utilized or not.

http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/evga_geforce_gtx_780_classified_review,18.html

91 FPS from the Classifed and 80 from the reference card. Assuming that the SLI profile isn't the best in the world a 50% increase is not unheard of with SLI, so that is 120 fps with a reference card.

http://www.pcper.com/reviews/Graphics-Cards/NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-760-2GB-Review-GK104-250/Battlefield-3-SLI This shows the 760 getting a healthy 80% improvement at 2560x1440P. It probably scales down from there, but I doubt over 30% scaling to 1080P.

Yeah thats i mean. GPUs are ~ 70%. You have a 5GHz IVY and getting 70 fps. Should be getting 100 fps with faster CPU.
