I'm kind of on the fence about that. Pretty sure that I will end up with 2. Depending on how quickly I can sell the 290's I have right now. I may start with one and keep 2 of the 290's in the system for quadfire and see if I'm happy with the performance.

Sorry to hear of your bad luck. Hopefully the 295X2's will be better to ya. I have 2 7990's here that work awesome @ 144Hz. I am on the Club3D 290X's now though and 120Hz is finicky and 100Hz is no problem all day long.
Yeah, just bum luck. I'm not blaming club3d or eizo, after all it's a set up that very, very few people are going to use. Where I would like to place some blame is amd and the vendors not using any other display output configurations on cards like the lightning.
