the graphics score seems to be right

i am not sure but physics score seems to be fairly low

Graphics score is low... Could be throttling.

doesnt have to be throttling my 7950's score lower using beta drivers then using the WHQL drivers so it could just be a driver issue

My 7950s are scoring 22+k graphics score @ similar clocks to his 7990. With latest beta drivers, and older beta drivers too.

Looks like the cpu is at stock that could be why his physic score is low and hes using a pretty old driver 13.2 he should install the 13.11 beta 8 driver and re bench it. He should be getting around 15k for the 3dmark score and around 20k for the gpu score.

It does look like he is on older drivers though.

OP first try getting latest drivers from AMD's driver page then report back

Right.

He's running 1100mhz & has ~500 more graphics cores than me and still scoring 3+k less than my 7950s.

Once again though, it is likely his drivers.

Once he can come back and retest with latest drivers, we will see where the issue is.

Cheers.

Well then it's probably not your drivers.

My scores are @ +30% TDP.

Try unlocking your power limit to 50%, there is easy tutorials for it everywhere. Bump it incrementally.. ie - 23%-25%-30%. I wouldn't go much higher.

20% bottlenecks me some and lowers my scores. Anything under 18% butchers them.

There could always be other things too. For one, your CPU is bottlenecking you. But your dedicated graphics score usually isn't very related to your CPU which is where your scores are lacking.

wierd i have mine at 5% and i dont get bottlenecked at 1100/1650 on my 2x 7970s with a 2600k at 4.8-5ghz.
and they have a bios editor now that you can hard code the 50% into bios so no more editing the reg.

Yeah it's really weird.

Certain cards vary, but my 3DMark scores get butchered by like ~5k even @ 10% TDP.

I also have cheap PowerColor non-reference 7950's so that could be why.

maybe both my 7970s are ref cards with voltage control and no boost i modded the bios on both to allow 50% and lost points compared to stock bios 5-20% gives me the same scores.
