GPU Warranties *Comparison by company*

I hear people talking about switching coolers and warranties by serial numbers. Here's a list I've compiled.

Let me know if you have any suggestions or information that is incorrect or missing.

I've always heard great things about EVGA so I think my next card(s) may be EVGA branded. MSI's website is atrocious and I was forced to go through my online retailer for an RMA of my one dead MSI GeForce GTX 570 Twin Frozr III. Service was ok overall but I simply couldn't handle the RMA directly through MSI. EVGA may be the way forward overall.

EVGA is definitely a great company and I've rarely (if ever) heard anything bad about them. They definitely (appear to) care about the customer.

MSI is usually hailed to be a good company at least in the US and are serial based. That's very important for resale since I/we upgrade regularly (right?).

Gigabyte also appears to be serial based, however they haven't publicly stated it so it cannot be guaranteed.

I've had terrible service from ASUS. Last winter they promised an RMA on a card without a stock cooler, which I verified online, via email, and then on the phone before sending it in since I didn't believe it myself. So, I sent the card in and waited a couple weeks until they informed me they need my credit card to continue. After putting me on hold for 3 hours (literally, no exaggeration) they promised to send me a new card the next day, apologizing profusely. What do you know, despite literally talking to 4 people at ASUS, they sent back my original card saying they can't do it. I actually have emails etc. with the paper trail documenting it (not making it up unfortunately).

So yeah I will personally avoid ASUS after that.

Yep ASUS are pretty much the worst at least for horror stories, MSI are alright and most likely won't mess you about like ASUS seem likely to do (from what I've read about ASUS and I've read a lot, they will try to **** you over in every way possible). In the UK the best are Gigabyte and KFA2 because they have UK RMA bases, so turnaround times are quicker than others which are based on mainland Europe.

By the way somebody on overclockers.co.uk made this that was updated recently which might help (there are a few ranked even worse than ASUS on here):
