Thread Starter
hello,

just watercooled my 2700k, my aim to overclock to 5.0ghz.... ive set multiplier to 50(anywhere between 50-53 i tried) and vcore to anywhere between 1.4 and 1.5 volts and it refuses to go past 49 multiplier(4.9ghz) and during a prime95 test hovers between 47 and 48 (4.7-4.8ghz)... im hoping its just a simple setting im not seeing that will fix this?

My specs
i7 2700k
msi gtx 780
msi p67-gd53
250gb evo ssd

ill upload screenshots of what im talking about

relatively new to overclocking so thankful for any help. cheers

Your Vcore looks a bit too high, aim for 1.4V max on SB.

absolutely yeah, its just that i was testing it at certain vcores ranging from 1.4 -1.5 and it was the same result... refused to go past 49 multiplier

Maybe give more watts to the CPU

If it hoovers between between multis while the multi is set higher cpu might not get to its needed tdp
