I don't think a glossy version would be that great because of the injected rubber pieces. Maybe it would work out well for the user, but it will look weird.

You can take off a rubber coating without much effort. This coating is more like paint, you won't be able to do the same thing with it.

Rival if your grip suits it.

I suppose most people identify claw grip by the general idea of planting wrist and moving mouse with in a select range, normally raised sensitivity or CPI combination. Low lift off distance is greatly beneficial. - A lot of quake players use this.

I define the grip by the usage of the fingers.

Claw grip bends the fingers; it doesn't matter if your palm touches the mouse or not. Palm grip lays the hand flat; it has the most contact with the mouse. Finger tip uses the fingers to move the mouse in all directions without anything else touching the mouse.

I think that is the best way to define things. Saying you have a "hybrid" grip -- palm touching, with fingers clawing, while wrist is on the table -- is confusing and convoluted.

I like to think it's the position of your palm that defines your grip. You can start off from a palm grip and bend your fingers, but essentially it's still just palm grip with bent fingers. IMO it becomes claw grip when the base of your fingers (uhm, knuckles?) rises up from the mouse.

couple things about the death adder.
It is definitely big enough for my hands
Flat black with green LED's looks very nice
The one thing that slightly bothers me is how "dainty" it feels. Meaning that compared to my m65 it is EXTREMELY LIGHT and feels fragile while the m65 is solid aluminum

I had the DA2013 for about 3 months and had to rma it because of double clicking.
I just got the rival and I can tell already that is much better build construction.
I also like the feel of the switches on the rival compared to the DA2013 also.
but it is all a matter of personal preference.
