However if you have a First gen i7 (like your 920) or a 2nd gen (like my 2600K) or a 3th gen or even a 4th gen these days, it does not make A LOT OF differences GAMING wise... it's most of the time the graphics card.
So if it's future planning for gaming, still leave it and go for newer/newest nVidia card/(s)
If you want to use it for programs only (most of the time) then opt for better mobo, ram, proc... and SSD if you haven't got one yet...
In fact these days it's simple, none of the hardware is bad anymore (if you know what to buy... there's always crap duh)
Buy a good mobo, proc and ram for a decent PC and add a normal graca like GTX560 to do all the stuff you need to do, incl gaming... OR buy the GTX780 if you want it also to do what it must, but even better at gaming...
So the graca is the stuff you can debat on
