Need help with overclocking FX 8320

Thread Starter
Hi there,
Recently I bought GA-970A-D3 rev3.0, FX-8320 Black Edition and 2x4GB Kingston Hyperx DDR3 1600mhz kit and was wondering how can I overclock my CPU through the UEFI bios...
Everything I tred to change in the M.I.T bios section, seemed to be locked and couldn't be changed. I've tried Easy Tune 6 as well but that just gives me a BSOD saying "KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED" when I'd try to increase "BCLK". I also have the stock amd cooler that I received with the CPU but I will be changing it very soon...
Oh, and yeah, I'm running Win8 x64 for anyone that is experienced with Easy Tune...

Any help would be great!
Thanks in advance! thumb.gif

Hi!
1st. thing, you should probably take a look this ---> http://www.overclock.net/t/1318995/official-fx-8320-fx-8350-vishera-owners-club
since you're having the same cpu as mentioned in the thread above. You should find your answers there.
I personally have an Asus Sabretooth 990FX motherboard with UEFI Bios and all i did was...I clicked the ''optimal performance'' tab and it automatically overclocked my cpu for 400Mz, so it's now @3.9GHz.
But honestly...You have a cpu that is @3.5GHz stock and goes up to 4GHz by it self in turbo mode so I don't see a reason why you would really need to overclock it because everything works perfect with the stock clocks.
But hey, that's only my opinion, feel free to overclock that beast of yours by all means.
Wish you the best of luck with your rig. Take care!

Yeah I think you are right. After checking few things I can say that I would just waste resources bringing it over 4ghz....
