Stay with 670 4 gb sli or switch to R9 280x cf - Page 2

Choosing brand is a tricky business, it all depends on the price i guess, if you were to get a 7970s which is as you know is a same card as r9-280x you could snag a pretty good deal - I saw reference sapphire 7970 dropping below $300 couple times in past month. Newegg also sells all 7970s with 3 free games which you could sell. Just monitor those prices for a week or so, something will go on sale. Asus cards are awesome but triple slot coolers are huge. So just make sure nothing would interfere in your case, also most non reference coolers dont exhaust heat out of the case so make sure your chassis is well ventilated.

Asus does have a 2 slot 280x that as the DCII heatsink on it. It's not the Matix version . But they are $50 each more. I'll do some research on Voltage control on different cards. Thx Ekg

Right, this one and these are truly great cards. But for $50 extra im not sure if its worth it. Especailly with all these deals on 7970s with free games. Anyways good luck with your purchase thumb.gif

You'll buy two right? A single one would be a downgrade in terms of performance. A pretty big one at that.

Yes I just bought the first one. When it arrives I'll be selling both my EVGA SC 4GB 670's. Then I will be buying the second one smile.gif
