Hi,

I've been battling this for a while now and I need some input.

Every time I play a video, Be it MP4, MKV whatever, after about 10mins my fans ramp up on my cpu. On opening task manager I can see that Media player is using 80+% cpu, and in my notifications I can see ffdshow audio codec is open twice playing a different audio stream in each.

I've changed a variety of options in Shark 007 codec but I can't figure out why its doing it. I use windows video codecs for most things, ffdshow for all audio and i've never had this happen in the past 6-7 years i've used that config. Any ideas?

I'm on

Win 64bit
Codecs set to use media center 64bit for all
Shark 007 codec pack
ffdshow is set to optical audio passthrough

Cheers
