Overvolting 290x - Need upgrade from TX850?

Thread Starter
I have a v1 of the Corsair TX850. I want to try some over-volting of a 290x on water, but I am not sure if I need a better power supply.

My current setup (relevant to power draw) is a a 3570 overclocked to 4.5 ghz on an Asrock Z77 Professional board, D5 water pump, FC9 fan controller, 2 case fans, 7 radiator fans, SSD, 4 SATA hard drives, DVD burner, Asus Xonar XT sound card. I'm replacing my 7970 with a 290X and want to try to get as much performance as possible with over-volting.

I'm not sure if I will ever go Crossfire - I'd eventually like to get a 290 and flash it with a 290X bios, but my current motherboard wont fit a 2nd video card with my sound card ;p (would be blocked probably by the water block).

Any suggestions? I know this power supply is way more than enough if the 290x is left at stock voltages. I was possibly looking at getting a 1000-1300 watt range of power supplies, but I absolutely do not want any coil whine. Something like XFX or EVGA.

You could power two 290x gpuz with that psu with light overclocks. One, you could aim for the moon!
