Sapphire HD 7970 w/ Boost... does it ever boost?

Hi everyone... I have this card

http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentation/product/?cid=1&gid=3&sgid=1157&pid=1481&psn=&lid=1&leg=0

As you see it's supposed to boost to 1 GHz from 950 MHz in core clock under load. But I've never found the card boosting. Never ever in any circumstances. Obviously I know the temperature and other factors have to be in favor to have the boost triggered but I've never seen it boosted in either low(60 degree ) or high temps(about 80 degree). Neither in gaming nor in benchmarking with Heaven, 3dmark, Furmark etc. Just never.

To prevent confusion just like to add, I can OC the card manually and everything but that's not what I'm talking about. Talking specifically about the boost feature.

So I wanna know specially from the users who have first hand experience with this model if the boost system actually works. Am I missing something?? Or the boost system is altogether faulty in this specific model?

Waiting for answer. Thank you.

No, that's not the boost function. When I mean boost I mean "AMD Powertune Boost"-- the official dynamic boost feature released by AMD.

http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum/hardware-canucks-reviews/54954-amd-radeon-hd-7970-3gb-ghz-edition-review-2.html

Firstly because the Boost function is not something to be triggered by a BIOS switch. It's something that was created by AMD as something that would dynamically increase the clocks to certain extent if needed. It was an official feature released by AMD. So triggering the boost function through the BIOS switch has nothing to do with what I asked. The 2nd bios is more like a security BIOS should the first one goes wrong.

Secondly the 2nd BIOS has core clock of 1050 MHz by default. But it's written on the box that the Boost function will take it to 1 GHz. So the boost function the box of the card is referring to must have meant using the first BIOS (which has default core clock 950 MHz) and boosting it to 1000 GHz when needed.

Thanks for your answer. However I'd really love to get some reply who have some good knowledge in this. I'm using this card for more than 4 months and I still can't find out the answer.

And if you do not know how to activate the boost function in this card, at least share your knowledge on if your card(owner of this specific model) boosts or not (in the sense of Powertune Boost, not the 2nd BIOS switch).

Thanks.
