Importing a Korean Monitor into the UK

Hi there

I am sure that this question has been asked in one form or another but I cannot seem to find the specific answer I am looking for.
The monitor I am buying is the Qnix qx2710 from accessorieswhole because they offer the best guarantee with regards to dead or stuck pixels (link)

I was wondering what would be the best/cheapest way of getting it imported into the UK? I have read that having "EU TARIC CODE 8528510090 APPLICABLE" written on the box will cause customs not to add duty to the cost of importing it. However I did a little digging and found the criteria for that TARIC code is "Monitors of a kind solely or principally used in an automatic data-processing system of heading 8471" (Source). It also mentions that goods are subject to a standard VAT rate.
Not quite sure what this means I decided to see what the import duty would be if I declared the monitor in the correct fashion. It came up that once again that the duty was 0% however this time there was no mention of having to pay VAT (Source).
Does this mean if I have that written on the monitor I would not have to pay VAT and thus save myself about £40?

I also wanted to know how other people went about getting their monitors into the UK and the experience they had.

Many Thanks

Toaster

Can't say for sure if you'd be lucky to avoid VAT but here's my experience in the UK:

I paid about £350 in total including import tax, VAT and a fee from FedEx. Sometimes you're lucky to avoid VAT.

The total tax and fee calculations are something like: 11.6%* & 20% VAT + fee from FedEx

Even then, I think the tax and fees are well worth their price considering how great the image quality is on this monitor.

Which seller did you buy from if you don't mind me asking?

I've been looking at these monitors today and they look like they could be a bargain but I'm wary of the potential customs costs (UK).
