How do you Move "PC Setting.lnk"

Thread Starter
I have start8 installed in my windows 8.1 setup. I want to completely rearrange my start menu. I want to move certain short cuts. Mainly the PC Settings" one. It does nothing on the desktop but when you switch to Metro interface its used to change your Pc Settings etc. Well if I move it from its normal path in the start menu, then when you goto your metro interface and click on Pc Settings nothing happens. If I move it back then it will work. Is their any way to move this PC Settings.lnk without breaking its function? I mean its only a .lnk file so I'm not sure why it does what it does.

Thanks

I'm not entirely sure I understand what you're describing/asking for but I can tell you that an LNK file is a shortcut file, nothing more. If you've ever right-clicked an icon and did a "send to desktop (create shortcut)" that is the kind of file I'm talking about.

Depending on the type of shortcut file it is if you got to properties it should tell you the path to the file it's pointing at (I know there are some "special" shortcuts that won't list this information, like those created by MS Office apparently).

Sorry I couldn't be more help.
