Since I want this to be stable and last a while, a bit better value won't be bad...

Microcenter did not have any VS units, just the low-end GXII stuff and the higher-end V series... I might sit on this for a week to decide and do extra research, but I think I'll be swapping...

Corsair VS are 200-240v only so its not sold in places that have 110v like the US

To make it more confusing the patent trolls over at Corsair sued Cooler Master over the VS name so the VS will be the V from now on

So you have the semi modular V which are Enhance Electronics made

And the fully modular V which are Seasonic KM3

And yes the Seasonic are better then the Enhance models but it also costs more

I finally got the Cooler Master PSU installed. Definitely more modular than the Corsair CX750M, better packaged, and from what I can see of the innards it's a better build all around. I feel confident in doing 24/7 rendering now. The Cooler Master is more energy efficient as well - definitely worth it for lower electric bills!

Thanks for your assistance, directly and with all the article links, etc!

V700.

Lemme whip out my camera and tear the PC apart. It's a partial mess but idle temps (22C room) are 29~30C and load temps never get above 56C (Kraken X60) - that I've seen so far. It's time to get rendering in a couple days, yay!
