Palm Grip Mouse for MMOs

Thread Starter
I'm having a bit of a dilemma right now..

I use a palm grip for my mice, and there is a plethora of mice available for that grip configuration. Right now I'm using the Deathadder 2013 edition, for instance, and it's amazing.

However, I'd like a mouse with more buttons on the side for when I start playing MMOs again, and I just can't find one that suites me. I've found that the Logitech G600 was too small, along with the razer naga. I'm assuming they were designed for a claw grip, which explains their ergonomics.

I don't really care about the price, I just want a mouse that has a good amount of buttons, on-board macro capabilities and is suited for a palm grip.

If anyone has some suggestions, I would be much obliged.

Maybe the Corsair M95? Despite me not being an MMO gamer, I am a palm gripper, and the mouse in my mind is perfectly suited for it.

I've taken a look at that mouse online, and it seems like something that could be interesting. To be honest, it looks like my best bet in terms of what I'm looking for.

The only questions I have for it are:

1) How will the surface of the M95 respond to hand sweat?
2) By on-board profiles, I'm assuming they mean it will save your macros to these profiles as well
3) How's the software for it?

EDIT:

Google has provided the answer to some of these questions.. for anyone else interested

1) It's highly resistant to sweat
3) The software and mouse tracking started out being ****, but they released a firmware update for the mouse that fixed it, apparently it's good now.

I can't answer any of those questions, as I've only used it in a quick demo. Maybe someone else will be able to give you better insight on it.

logitech g602, plenty of thumb buttons, large enough for palm grip, corsair series mice tend to be on the smaller side so you will likely have the same problem as you did with the g600 and naga.

On a side note have you tried the Naga 2014? from my experience it is much more suited to the palm grip than the original naga designs.

I can atest to this. I will be getting my G602 in later today. Im so excited! Almost all logitech G series mice (excluding the G600) are palm grip. I can personally recommend a G700, has enough buttons for most applications, if that doesnt have enough, G602 your best bet. Whatever you buy, buy a Logitech, best palm grip mice I have ever used. thumb.gif

Take a look at the Cyborg R. A. T Series as well, I'm a palm grip guy and I love the little pinky rest on them. I think they do an mmo version as well.

Do not buy the Rat 7 or MMO, both have a terrible sensor problem. I have already had mine replaced twice in 5 months (mouse had other problems at that point too). Not very sturdy mice despite being well constructed (in theory). Love the feel, hate the reliability.

I have been using the Razer Naga since it 1st came out, I will never use another style mouse again. It took a few weeks to get use to it but now my thumb knows where all 12 buttons are. The best thing is they have recently released an updated more ergonomic version with a higher grade lazer sensor! with the combintaion of Synapse 2.0 you can map any key to the any button on the mouse, including Macros for your MMO games.

Heres a link for a review i found : http://www.digitalversus.com/computer-mouse/razer-naga-2014-p16949/test.html

The M95 isn't a good mmo mouse b/c the buttons are hard to reach by the thumb. If you're looking to use multiple buttons via your thumb on the mouse look for the new naga or hex by razor. The surface may become a problem for sweaty hands and the sensor isn't great, but in mmo's the latter isn't an issue, and the former you really can't do much about.

I personally use a sensei for my mmo and I would recommend using the FK with mouse button software to assign keys to the four mouse buttons on the sides of the mouse.
