And I don't believe it's actually too weak. I guess it's semi-defective...

I'm running a ~240w 3930K on 4.7 1.45v with a ~340w GTX780 @ 1241Mhz 1.238v which combined with my watercooling and other stuff should be about 620-650w. The PSU is 694w certified but it won't even run this for 2 seconds in combined stresstests. Prime95 + Valley instantly shuts off the PSU.

Battlefield 4 sometimes runs for a while, but most of the times it shuts down within half an hour.

Goin' to pick up a 1200w from a buddy to loan and see if it actually fixes it. If yes, this PSU is either quite the disappointment or just defective.
Lemons do happen. It's a Seasonic KM3 platform (which the Corsair AX non i uses) so it can't be a disappointment wink.gif

Well, I found something out.

My mates Ikonik Vulcan 1200W (CWT DSR platform) did the exact same so it couldn't be the PSU even though everything pointed towards it.

But... I finally found out what the problem is. The CPU. This thing must've had a rough life cause it's acting really wierd..

I can pass tresstests all day without PCI-E load, but add PCI-E load to it and the thing becomes unstable as hell until the point where I set the CPU to 4.5Ghz @ ~1.45v. Then it'll run it.

On stock CPU speed (3.5Ghz Turbo @ 1.224v) there's nothing wrong with it and it works fine.

694 W certified , and what is the variance on that , it can be +/- 5% and you will be down to 650.

with the kind of voltage you put in this cpu it s normal it doesn't last long , 1.40V is already a bit too much for everyday use but 1,48 can certainly damage it seriously.
you should have gone for 4,4 and stays well below 1,4v , these last few 100 mhz are not worth the extra voltage at all for everyday use .

Close loop cooler are just not good enough for high overclock over long period , if you heat them too much and too fast they start to accumulate heat faster then they can dump it and in these case they become worst then good air cooler.
1,4V with temp above 60C for long period is really not a great idea , no matter what some people tell you on ocn , these people don't say how many chips they have toasted or that they don't care because they can afford one every month .

According to Jonnyguru this design should be powerful enough to run at least 1000w from this unit as long as OCP / OVP doesn't kick in.
