Is my GPU dying?

Thread Starter
So I booted up BF4 for the first time just now and ran into a lovely light show wink.gif hehe

I think it means my GPU is dying... frown.gif or are they any other reasons this could be happening?

I've tried two different drivers with the same results as below, even re-installed BF4 once.

bad drivers. just reinstall another set of drivers. it happens.

Uh, looks like you tried two... have you tried a non recent one? Like 320 or something ?

Are you running your 670 overclocked? If so, it looks like artifacts caused by an unstable clock.
If you're not overclocking it, it may be failing - but don't take my word for it. I've never had a failed card.

The safest and quickest thing you can do is set all your components (GPU; CPU, RAM, Chipset etc. through CMOS) to default clocks/voltages and rerun the program.

When on the latest driver I tried resetting all overclocks to default and still had the same results, also tried different games (FIFA 14, Dead Space 3, Borderlands 2, Portal 2) but there aren't any problems with those games.

So I'm on 327 now and the levels in BF4 don't load very well and when I get into a game my GPU stays at 400 MHz or lower, usually around 162 MHz.... Low settings, and clearly unplayable lol but at least there's no more light show.

So you saw a graphic issue with a game that is still in beta, and you think your GPU is dying?

The game is beta, don't trust it to work right. Try testing with something like furmark.

I second trasher's opinion. Especially when there aren't any other games acting out. Disregard my first reply...
