You experiences with Nvidia 3D Vision 2

Hi guys,
Hope this is in the right section, if not can a moderator please re-locate it. I'm thinking of buying some second hand Nvidia 3D Vision 2 glasses, and I would like to tell me about your experiences with Nvidia 3D. Is it fun? What is it like? Does it work nicely do you think? I have a BenQ XL2420T, so yes my monitor is compatible.
Thanks.

I tried the 3D Vision 2 kit on my system for a short time. I wanted to give it a go just to try it out and see if I liked it. I only tried it with Skyrim and Left 4 Dead - Skyrim looked really good (just had to turn off the crosshair which was a minor annoyance). But Left 4 Dead was absolutely spectacular! I just loved it...I was playing the swamp map and walking through a swarm of bugs, for example, they just came right out at you...it really felt like they were buzzing around your head. And when you had a horde of zombies coming at you, they were really in your face. The 3D effect in the game worked quite well and I was impressed with it. thumb.gif

But there were two deal-breakers for me: Firstly, I couldn't use my headphones (Sennheiser PC-350) with the glasses because the arms didn't let my headphones sit flat on my head. It's not that I blame the glasses or anything..there's not much you can do. But if I have to pick between the headphones and the 3D glasses, the headphones win every time. smile.gif

Secondly, I was running into a bit of a driver issue...it seems it wouldn't pickup the 3D Emitter unit every time I booted Windows 7. With a bit of Googleing, it looked like there were others with the same issue and there wasn't a fix that I could find. So with that, I decided to return the kit.

I know my experience with it is a bit limited, but I hope this helps you decide. smile.gif

If the game runs it well then it looks great. For example just cause 2 looks terrific; but Bioshock: Infinite looks like garbage. It's potential is huge (look at the Batman games), but it depends if the developer takes their time to implement it. I hope this answers your question, but for 100 bucks you can't go wrong! thumb.gif

Yeah thanks for the input, in looking at some used ones for about $80. The games I play are: http://i.imgur.com/joo6Q5u.png.
