On-board Sound issues Sabertooth 990FX R2.0

Hey guys, I'm not really sure how to explain the issue so ill describe the symptoms.

During gaming, the audio will "Clunk" like the sound you get when you plug in speakers while they're turned on. Then the sound stops working.

Sometimes the sound is just really inconsistant, like in BF3, if you spot an enemy, it'll still say "Enemy Spotted" often times, but gun shots and all other sound is gone.

In Batman Arkhum Origins, the sound clunks off completely.

I've tried updating my drivers, problems are occuring with my sig rig.

Is my onboard audio bad, or can other things conflict with audio that I may be over looking?

Closing the game down will get the sound working again.

When the sound stops, it only stops working in that particular game.

I forgot to mention, when my sound stops working in the game, the windows audio manager says the game's sound level is maxed out (Like its playing something at max volume).

When the game closes the audio "Clunks" again and the sound is fine.

The sound works fine in other games and stuff after the bug happens (Unless it happens in the game aswell), I could play music while playing a game and the game sound will stop but not the music.

I have the same issue but i don't think its the onboard sound because i get the exact same thing with my usb headsets, both of them is the same. So my guess it's either a windows driver whos gone mad or there's something wrong with the bios. My problems started when i updated to the SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 BIOS 2005. Havent been able to resolve it yet but im going to try the older bios again.

I downgraded my bios and it has now worked fine for 5 hours of gaming bf3 and bf4. Hope it does the trick for you as well. smile.gif
