PSU Choice, Now uncertain, Help?

Ok, below is system spec's of a system i'm starting to build. (bought the case 2day! IT LOOKS AWESOME!).

Anyhoo, long story short.

I need to be able to run, 4x 750gb seagate hd's, 2x 320gb seagate or western digital hd's, (all sata II/3gb). To run, X-fi fatality, 4gb ram, overclock an e6300 - e6600 (any of the series or in between) easily. And have power to spare.

However, I need the powersupply to be able to SUPPORT, "sli" or "crossfire" of the new ati or nvidia cards (when ati releases, etc). For power etc.

I'm eventually hoping to run 2, and maybe a 3rd pci-e card in the 680i mobo.

First 2 slots of course naturally in SLI or crossfire. However the 3rd will be an "all in wonder" or video capture format video card, non gaming related, but physics useable though.

That's the general plan, however the powersupply I chose recently I discovered on another topic in the intel cpu section (made by me, Q? about e6300 4mb cache or something like that...).

Will the 700watt gamerXtreme work? Or do I need a "tad more power" to handle ALLLLLL of that??? Plus fans!!!!!

And I am not planning on shelling the serious cash for the 1000 watt mega psu's, or 1100 watt psu's. However I will MAX at $300 canadian. (see www.memoryexpress.com for psu matching availability, etc).

Thanks!

Le_Loup

Suggestions HIGHLY appreciated, and most likely, +Rep'd if found in canada! +amp's are required! High amp's!

TY!!!!

O Plus, this thread will help other's who are looking for psu's that can handle it, refer to this thread if we get numerous posts regarding it.

Also look into PC Power and cooling. They have the 750quad which works with for QUAD SLI or SLI's 8800GTX's. It has 4 PCI-e power connectorswhich would work nicely. 60A on the 12v rail.

Thanks, looks like i'm going to choose the SilverStone Zeus ST85ZF 850W w/ Quad Rails + 4x pci-e Power Connector's

Thanks! Much appreciated for looking into it.

Especially since this'll cost half a paycheque alone, but w/ 2 or 3 year warrenty, hell yes i'm going to get it. Especially for something of this extreme power.

For anyone whose looking into a major editing/storage pc, this is the psu for you, the silverstone 850watt.

Thanks!
