Lots of problems with my new rig

hey all..

I was supposed to have this built on Tuesday for my brothers birthday and I have been having nothing but problems.. so let's go step by step.

Parts:

CM Centurion
Gigabyte DS3
E6300
2x1gb Team Group DDR2 800 (4-4-4-10)
2x74gb Raptors (8mb)
Samsung CDRW
Modstream 520w OR Silverstone 500w continuos (forgot it's cool name )

1) I put everything together and tried to boot ... nothing came on. I took the 12v out of the mobo and then it turned on. I decided the mobo was bad

2) Just went out to buy a new mobo. Did the same thing, hooked EVERYTHNG up right.. and the 12v was in. Worked fine, booted up. Thing is, there is a XFX 6800GT with a NV5 Silencer on it. The fans stalls, like it wants to go but it won't go. I was tinkering around but everytime the computer started I would have to give it a little push (like.. a push start?)

So in both of these scenarios.. there is nothing coming up on the monitor. I just can't get anything working. All the PSUs are fine, they were tested on my sig rig (the C2D) and the video cards all come up fine.. I tried a 8800GTX in this comp to by hooking up both PCI-E slots..

Last thing I'm trying right now is switching my E6600 over to this BRAND NEW MOBO and seeing if that works.

Oh and last thing.. theres a buzzing sound from the 12v adapter.. is that normal for these DS3 boards? Why is that sound there.. when I book it up without the 12v theres no buzzing...

hhmmm i'm so confused and tired.. I just want to get everything working so we can play CS 1.6

...hmmm..Have you tried reset cmos, first pull out powercord, then reset cmos-jumper.

Another thing to try is: Unplug all the hdd and dvd drives, check the small pins to the frontpanel, hdd lights and power on button,is they inserted correct and in the right spot? Are the power to gfx plugged in?
Try starting the pc with just the gfx and one ram installed,no hdd od other drives,if you can boot into bios now, take and plug in one thing at the time.

And sometimes the psu, makes a small high frec sound,it does not allways means something is wrong.

EDIT: also unplug and check ALL connectors, sometimes a pin are loose.

Ok.. I did that, Norz.. it must of been something connected wrong. I took everything out and rewired everrrything.

But now.. this is bizzare and beyond me. I have to "push start" my fans. Yes, they are kind of ticking back and forth, but I have to push them.. my BT and my NV5 silencer fans.. the case fans start fine by thmselves.

What do you guys think?
