Problems with FRAPS

Hey all

Has anyone else had a problem with fraps where you install it, everything installs just fine, but you cant get into the program?
I double click (or single click if im in the start menu) the fraps icon on the desktop, and for about 2 seconds, my mouse cursor changes to the busy cursor, then nothing happens.
I am at a bit of a loss to why fraps wont even load. If anyone could shed some light on the subject, that would be great.
thank you,

Andrew

You sure it isn't running minimized? I've done that mistake before.

Yeah, well, I'm pretty sure! I had the trial copy to start with, and it worked fine, I just wanted to record my games for a bit longer, so I got the registered version, and thats the problem I have. Either way, I'll double check that its not minimizing

Its definately not starting and hiding in the taskbar.
With task manager open, if you try to open fraps, you see fraps.exe in taskman for a second or two, then it exits the program

btw, its fraps 2.8.1

if you installed the trial, then installed an illegal version it screws up in the registry so that NO version of Fraps will work, just to screw you over for using the illegal version

Only solution is a format!
