256->512 no not on most games. Now 128->256. Thats a big difference these days.on todays games.

But eventully 512 will become the new 256 probably in the next year.

I'm not the expert, but I do hear the 7600GT's will overclock better.
AND, if you do the volt mod, it'll blow away many other higher priced variety cards.

The 7600GT will OC pretty well. The best card in the 7 series to OC is the 7900GS which Mine on stock volts is at 625/835 from 450/600.

Although I know most OC's are nice on it.

1 more question, the ati has gddr2 512mb memory, whereas nvidia has gddr3 254mb memory, which is better ?
7600GT is the better card, even stock for stock it's the best pick. Have a look here.
