Hey man if it makes you feel better,

A good personal friend of mine runs 60hz on his 670 (with no OC) on 1080p ultra. Yes there is some instances where it drops tp 50's but its steadily around 60's. And rememeber his no OC's and no modded cooling.

if your staying 1080p stay with your card, fact is the gtx780 price drop already happened so your card already depreciated slighlty more, from this point on lets say a 2 year mark the card depreciation would not be as big as the last 1 year. Reason, they are slowly removing them from inventory and people that do have one for SLI will have to pay more due to offer and demand.

560's where selling at $150 not so long ago (2-3 months) . Im sure you can take full advantage of this card for atleast another year or two and maybe just loose $40-$50 on depreciation (if you just want to upgrade) and by then you will be able to get a card with 10-25% more performance than the 780 for the same price -inflation biggrin.gif

Really??? Your friend's 670 can do ultra with only occasional drops? Sorry but that's a bit hard to believe. Even with my oc, I need to drop it to high with 2x msaa and ssao and still I got occasional drop. Is your friend on i7 with HT? I read that bf4 seems to work better and more stable on i7 with ht compare to i5.

I believe that you should stick with your 670 and possibly OC it. Ive got two 670's non OC and they kick ass

yeah i know. I think my card still can handle it just fine. wallet is safe for another day i guess. biggrin.gif situation like this made me regret a bit for not going reference. If I took reference, it might be easier for me to sli or put them under water. oh well.

how hot does your card get? sli shouldnt really be a problem if you have that much space between cards on your mobo

It gets to 70c during bf4 and thats already with a fan blowing on it. I don't have enough room for sli. The second slot is located just right under the first slot. a card like mine will definitely suffocate to death. How is your bf4 venture goin? smile.gif

I'm not upgrading my gtx670 to play BF4, they didn't deliver BF4 yet. Ordered it wednesday but today was a holiday over here redface.gif

I'll probably use medium settings because i'm using a 144Hz monitor. Need to oc my 670 some more (using stock bios for now) in a the coming days or weeks for some extra performance when playing BF4

Will probably look for a upgrade when the 800 serie is coming out, hopefully produced on a smaller die.
