Me too, though my beef is with how they treat their customers overall. Origin is there just to launch BF4. But getting the 290x BF4 bundle softened the blow a bit. At least it seems less like I'm directly handing EA money.

I'll try to find some time in the next day or so to run some comparisons on my 780. I'll post up the actual shots of GPU activity... load, temp, fps, voltage, latency... etc.

Is that what everyone enjoy to look at that way? They shouldn't be ripped off, especially day one owners. Stop spreading these non-sense ripped off. 780 been out for months before AMD finally catchup, how it that makes any sense they are ripped off? I wish there is a downrep button.

It's annoying to see these giant benchmarks and almost always the 690 isn't compared even though they showed a 7990 in this one, and SLI/CF combos. Although at least the 7990 gives me something comparable, I know the 690 beats it most the time (depending which way the reviewer favors driver vers) and then take into account having mine at 115/600 under water gives me some comfort I don't need to spend any money right now. thumb.gif

AMD has killed ATI's notebook dGPU business. thats a resounding yes. and I hate AMD for that thumb.gif but looks like they might be able to rebuild it around the new series. I would like AMD to run the R9 290X at low clock / voltage (around 550 - 600 mhz) and bring it to the notebook market. its a beast. clock it low and drop that voltage. it would still massacre a Pitcairn based HD 7970M and beat a GK104 based GTX 780M

The graph has a flaw... my TITAN (stock BIOS) at 1440p don't run low average 32FPS. 1600p not so much a diff compare to 1440p. MP hits around ~50 FPS 64 players map. Which is why many people argue with that, some of us has the actual 780/titan to run bf4 including myself.

Consider singleplayer mode is not as heavy as running 64 players to render on a map.

Where the h#ll are the frame-time variance graphs? I see that half of the setups on there are multi-GPUs. Does 97fps really matter when a significant portion of those are runt frames and produce uneven frame pacing leading to microstuttering or jittery frames? Max and Avg fps are overrated by now.

So wait they did a single player mission? For one, it felt like my 760 was pulling WAY more than an average of 32 frames and during the multiplayer I haven't hit anywhere lower than 45 frames.

A single player level should not be representative of a game that's 99% multiplayer.
That is exactly why I bought my 290X for games like these where the 290X is better in average & minimum frames with much better frame latency in the upcoming console games, mantle can only make it better. My 780 is for nvidia optimized games like Batman: Origins, Black Flag, Watch Dogs & Witcher 3. Having different cards for different games can be satisfying but costly though biggrin.gif
