Hey guys,
about 4 months ago I stopped playing BF3 and also therefore didnt overclock my card anymore as I didnt need it. I was driving a imo great OC and good temps (for air cooled) and everything worked perfectly. Now I switched to W8.1 (from W7) and of course started playing BF4.

Overclocking now seems nearly impossible. Im on 13.11 V8 and tried using the latest Afterburner beta15 and Sapphire Trixx but whatever I do, almost any overclock leads to either a blackscreen(as soon as i start a game) or a driver reset (when im on the desktop). I ve a AC Extreme 7970 on my HD7950 and before I was able to drive 1200/1500 at 1,175v and now im struggling to get 900mhz stable even with 1.1v. I tried reinstalling W8.1 and also a couple of different drivers (13.8 and upwards). But nothing changed.

Is my card somehow (oO) dying or is W8.1 simply worse for stable overclocks? Temperatures while overclocking never went north of 65-70° on the VRMs and 60° on the GPU so I think i can rule out death by heat.

Please help me. Stock everything is stable and perfect but Id like a mild overclock for BF4.
