Adding Graphics Card to Loop

Thread Starter
Hi All,

I wanted to get some input on my current rig, I just added a gtx 780 to my loop but it looks like the pump that came with my cpu kit is struggling to get the water through the entire loop now. The kit I bought a year back is a XSPC RX360 kit. Should I add another pump to the loop to fix this problem? Right now the temps look fine but I can see the water trailing in the tube....(the entire tube isn't filled by the time it reaches the card, just a small stream passing through).

Thanks in advance,

That sounds like you need to do a better job of bleeding your loop - there should be no air in the tubes at all regardless of how strong your pump is (or isn't).

With the pump running, try tilting your case and tapping / squeezing the tubes to shift all the air through the loop and back to the res. You will need to keep the res topped up and make sure that the pump never draws air, otherwise you undo all your work.

Remember that the radiator will happily hold on to a lot of air in the end tank, you need to think about which way the water is flowing to try and make the air go with it.

Out of interest, did you get the D5 version or the X2O 750 version?

Thanks for your reply I'll have to wait until Saturday to try it but I'll get back to you and let you know if it works. I have the X2O 750

OK, the X2O 750 isn't hugely powerful but it is more than capable of pushing though a CPU / GPU / Rad loop.

Hopefully once you have bled the loop things will go back to working well.
