10-bit color aka "Dell PremierColor" & their panel guarantees

(99% adobe RGB , 100% sRGB)

The $3500 ASUS 4K monitor is the same 10bit color one with the IGZO panel.
see https://www.asus.com/Monitors_Projectors/PQ321Q/#specifications

$700 Seiki 39" 4K TV http://www.amazon.com/Seiki-Digital-SE39UY04-39-Inch-Ultra/dp/B00DOPGO2G
^ 120Hz at 1080 but I think it's limited to 30Hz by HDMI 1.4 for 4K

$1000 TCL http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=8556967

$3950 Sharp http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/963987-REG/sharp_pn_k321_32_pnk321_ultra_hd.html

I don't see 4K catching on until both 60Hz+ TVs/computer monitors and GPUs that drive it reach ~$400. We're getting there on the GPU side (R9 290 / GTX 780 can do it with lowered settings) but not on the monitor side. They need to knock off a digit off their prices to have market penetration.

I do. I prefer not to downgrade color quality from my U2410 if possible.

Well something new to save up for! I'm excited!

As for ASUS being cheaper is because they maker lower quality monitors than Dell.

High End: NEC, Viewsonic
Upper End: Dell, Apple
Medium End: LG, ASUS
Low End: Acer, BenQ, Hanns G

Okay let me tell you where you are wrong because you have clearly not a clue what you are talking about.

This is a professional panel and monitor meant for the expensive professional market

It actually is 4K as the 4K definition is a amount of pixels horizontal that is close to four thousand.
To explain it a bit more it is 4K UHD meaning about 4000 pixels in ultra HD and HD here simply means an aspect ratio of 16:9

Here's an idea: Use DP instead.

Fixed.

Dell's ultra sharps are killer in the business industry.

Is it so hard to make all the bezels the same size?

Ouch even w/ the employee discount (935$ off the price) that's still painful... Also isn't 3x" a bit small for 4k? As I thought it was barely doing ok with 1600P (just asking , just asking *cringes*)

I'll take 3 once one of you volunteers to be my "Secret Santa". In all seriousness though, how long until these panels start showing up in some of the affordable Korean brands? 2-3 years?
