Why was Nvidia so proud of FXAA being able to be forced globally?

Been testing out settings on my 780, and FXAA makes everything look like crap... so umm, why were the bragging about this when the 600 series launched?

Edit = Maybe it is because I am on 1440p? 1080p tech I guess cause of the more jaggies, I dunno. tongue.gif

Assumably because it's cheap on performance.

Ah, so then they went and made TXAA and said the same reasoning?

Adaptive V-Sync fixes stutter but not input lag sot hey make Gsync which fixes both...

Something tells me Nvidia has all this tech to begin with, just let it dribble out for marketing purposes, why do FXAA if TXAA is better and is advertised even better, beats MSAA with no performance hit similar to FXAA...

The above (easy on performance) plus some people actually like the way it looks. Personally I hate it (think it is worse than nothing), but unlike a lot of people, I don't expect everyone else to have the same opinions as myself.
