I thought the RAM on the newer versions is crap? That's why i went with the Classified instead.

Also regarding a power supply, I just picked up an Antec HCG-850M (Bronze rated, 850w but most importantly Seasonic internals) for only $100 after rebates. It will handle paired 780's easily.

I don't have actual pics of the meter, although a few other guys like Alatar have had similar power draw with single cards & can agree that they can eat up the juice.
Here is some info from TiN about the gtx580, which has also pulled well over 500W for a single card in testing http://kingpincooling.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1203
Wow, that's surprisingly high. I thought around that voltage, you'd have to dump Liquid nitrogen on it, and liquid nitrogen tends to decrease power consumption significantly.

I have a few questions about the overclocked cards . are the cards that I named that are overclocked do they come out of the box overclocked ? do overclocked cards use more power then the regular cards ? and is it worth the extra money for a overclocked card
my power supply is a ocz zx 850w fully modular 80+gold I decided to get the evga superclocked acx because even though the msi gtx 780 lightning is only $10 more then the evga on amazon for some reason it will come out to $23 more shipped and my computer case only supports a card up to 304mm and the msi gtx 780 lightning would be cutting it close . will my power supply be enough to sli x2 evga sc acx gtx 780's in the future if I don't overclock them any more then they all ready are and I wont overclock my i7 2600k

Mate, I've already said that you can overclock them as long as you stay at or below 1.21v which will be fine with your superclocks. I have my 4770k OC'd at 4.7Ghz with 1.325vcore. It'll easily handle them Overclocked and your 2600k overclocked. This is assuming you have a quality PSU. What PSU do you have? Also, I'd recommend overclocking your 2600k because you have a chance to bottleneck your GPUs with it. Someone please correct me if I"m wrong, though.

Then you should be good. IIRC Its OEM manufacter is GreatWall, and I'm pretty sure they are good quality.

That is about the limit I go on water cooling, I do wait to get ln2 to keep going higher. There are a few water coolers at OCN who have pushed up over 1.5V on the classies, I just don't like seeing those temps when I have an ln2 pot to use.

With more normal overclocks an 850W with a lower power cpu (not a high overclocked hexcore) is enough for sli, it is really when the voltage hacks & moar overclock come into play that the power requirements start to skyrocket.
Most people never used to push gpus so hard, the new cards are just clocking so well & getting great scores a lot more people are having fun with it!

Yea it's all fun! For OP's use (if he has to ask this kind of question) he's probably staying at 1.212v (manual oc) and the factory oc'd cards are lower than that, afaik, and power limited to like 250w
