Molex female to female?

Thread Starter
Been searching and have not came across a simple molex female to female extension/connector.. I got a distribution block which uses molex female and then a molex to 3pin converter that is a male. I need the famel connector to connect the block with the 3pin so I can use the fan controller on the fans..

If anyone can help me out I will really appreciate it

was able to find these!
http://www.cwc-group.com/female525.html
http://www.monoprice.com/Product/?c_id=102&cp_id=10245&cs_id=1024501&p_id=1317&seq=1&format=1#largeimagehopefully I can find something shorter
for some reason I am having a very hard time finding these cables, im finding more results from threads like mine than websites that simply sell a female to female molex extension

I make up quite a few of these and they're easy to make even without a crimping tool, you just need wire, connectors, pins and needle nosed pliers.

In the US FrozenCPU has the nice sleeved Bitfenix ones.

yes but aren't those male to females? seems like buying tools and connectors costs more than the $1 foot long extension frown.gif

Ah, I see what you mean. You won't be able to make it for $1 but I suspect shipping for 1 item might be a shock.

I thought the same. I was thinking of just buying a connector and swapping out an end off a molex I have, but I realized the tools will cost more. I paid less than $3 for 3 on monoprice and $2 for the 4-6 day shipping.

Let's just hope I receive something biggrin.gif thanks for trying to help me out Elf, I appreciate it

Needle nosed pliers are the only tool you need. You can use a sharp knife (ideally a scalpel or craft knife) to strip the insulation.

MDPC-X has a guide on how to do it.

I don't see why they shouldn't be delivered from Monoprice.
