Sorry to ask, but like I will be devastated to download and pay for it and be depressed that I'm not getting at least about 50% of the graphics. I'm buying upgrades as we speak (780's x 2) but that will takes some weeks... (i live in australia)

should I wait?

Hey your 580 has 1.5gb of vram so it is likely that you could atleast play medium settings getting around 30-40 fps and more if you turn off certain features.

I say buy it that way when you get the 780s you will be like holy crap that is a huge difference. lol

You will be fine, alter some settings and keep AA low or off and you will have an enjoyable user experience

Not everyone needs to be on the latest and greatest to play a modern title

1x 580 for 1080 will be absolutely fine.

Please dont tell me your buying those 2x 780s to use on 1080 though?

Thank you all so much, I upgrade my pc to about every 2.5 years and this game has come out just before that so I'm trying to keep up! thanks for the advice.

On a side but relevant story, I logged in to bf3 and there are only 8 servers in Australia... only one has more than 20 players... :/ LOL

Thanks again, I was freaking out! but I should have my new setup before 2013 ends.

[edit]

to answer your question, yes initially they will be 1080 :/ but I purchase my gear in the correct incremental order as opposed to all at once, that is hardware first and secondary hardware second i.e. displays

[edit 2]

2.5 years is an overstatement, i will upgrade dead PSU and RAM and so forth to newer stuff but I'm talking about the heart of my gaming machine. GPU's MOBO's and CPU

ah ok, because 2x 780 is overkill for a single 1080p monitor, but if your gonna go 1440p thats good
